Team-List Archive

Every recorded line-up, 1888 to 1980.

Ninety-two years of A Grade team sheets, scanned from newspapers and club budgets. The archive that carries the club forward into the modern era where our current games-tally begins.

A note from the Historian
Teamlists dating back to the 1880s through to 1980, where the current games tally was started. This was recorded from the newspapers, much like the other documents. As such, I can't guarantee accuracy.

Also, primarily only A Grade was listed. I can't be sure it lists every game everyone played, because the information comes from the papers (and later, budgets), so games may be missing and it may favour goalkickers and best players.

A hard copy can be read at the club.
The Archive

Ninety-two years of Bulldogs.

The archive spans 1888 to 1980 — the point at which the club's current games-played tally begins. From the earliest Yorke Peninsula Football Association line-ups on rutted country ovals, through two World Wars, the mining decline, and the first Bulldog premierships. Every scanned page is preserved below.

Beyond 1980

The modern games register.

From 1980 onward the club maintains a full games-played register, and the two Bulldogs at the head of the pack are Darren Smith (390 games) and Lindsay Smith (312 games). Both feature on our 150 Games Club board.
